Research Summary

My research interests include predictors of musculoskeletal injury outcome, psychological interventions for stress and pain, and interdisciplinary treatment models.  As a founding member of our interdisciplinary model clinic and the Director of Clinical Services and Research at the OIOC, I have investigated the effectiveness of this approach in a military setting as well as in our clinic. I have  served as PI and Co-PI on numerous research grants. Most recently my research  has been focused on understanding the needs of older adults seeking physical therapy and the implementation and effectiveness of psychologically-informed practice in Navy Service Members and . This ongoing research has been funded by grants from Eurospine and the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program respectively.
