I am passionate about medicine, particularly women’s heart health. My clinical practice focuses on cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular disease risk factors that predominately or uniquely affect women. I specialize in the postpartum care of women who have complications of pregnancy, such as preeclampsia. I also see pregnant patients with cardiac symptoms or high blood pressure.

I care for patients with unique types of heart events such as Takotsubo syndrome, commonly known as broken heart syndrome, and spontaneous coronary artery dissection, also known as SCAD, which is a torn blood vessel in the heart that can cause a heart attack.

I manage chronic chest pain syndromes that are common among women, including coronary vasospasm, which is the temporary narrowing of a heart artery, and coronary microvascular dysfunction, the disruption of blood flow through the smaller heart arteries.

At ���߲ݴ�ý Langone Heart, my colleagues and I take the time to listen to our patients’ concerns and are responsive to their needs. When it comes to cardiovascular health, I practice what I preach. I never give my patients advice I would not follow myself.

My research interests include some of the heart conditions I manage, including high blood pressure in pregnancy, heart attacks with open arteries, and angina or ischemia with open arteries.
